I build a simple wooden mirror frame for our old mirror. So we could hang it in our entry hallway.
The frame is built from some roof batten I had laying around the shop. Which were glued together with a 45 degree mitre.
The frame glued
Before glueing the frame a rabbet was cut to add the mirror to.

The frame build and sanded
Adding the mirror to the frame for the first time
Now the frame was finished and sanded and the mirror could be inserted for the first time.
Now I needed to create a way to hang the frame from the wall. This is done with two frame hangers. Small wooden blocks with some holes added to allow a screw to pass through.

The initial frame hanging was done without the mirror installed. Two holes where drilled into the wall to receive two screws. The frame could then be hanged onto the screws.

Now its mirror installation time. The mirror gets secured with double sided tape. And a small nail on each side. As I did not trust the tape to hold the mirror on its own.
Adding the double sided tape
Adding some nails to secure the mirror
And finally here is the finished product. The nails where hidden behind some nice decoration.
