Sometime past I build a wooden ring to hold the garbage bag in our bathroom trash can. But due to it being constructed out of plywood it was not long lived. So I finally took the time to redo this project using aluminum this time.
It was my first time bending aluminum, and this worked quite fine. It worked better than when I was using traditional metal which I used for another project in our living room.
After bending the aluminum in shape, the big question was how to connect the two ends. After some searching in my hardware bin, I found some old copper pieces which did the job.
And at the same time, I had my daughter in the shop as well, and she was building a small wooden boat (with some help from me).
