Building a kite
As we missed it last year, I made sure to be ready this fall with a small kite. The kite was build in an afternoon out of some wood, fishing wire, and thing paper. The only thing missing is a good windy day without rain :-(
The skeleton is built out of 4mm wooden rods. Connected in the center via a small custom connection block fabricated out of some scrap plywood. We’ve drilled a hole at the outside end of each rod to add some fishing wire to provide support for the paper skin of the kite.
After we built the frame, we moved upstairs to finish the kite with paper skin and some decorations. And as we are still waiting for some decent wind, the kite is currently used as autumn wall decoration
